New Video Clip Player

We just purchased and installed a ProVideoPlayer system from Renewed Vision, in Atlanta, GA. We’re using the system in our Kidstuf production, which is heavily reliant on video track playbacks. For years we’ve been playing video right off our Final Cut Pro Timeline, but of course that can be a pretty flaky method, with dropped frames and stuttering/stopping playback right in the middle of a clip. The guys at Clark Promedia have been telling me about Renewed Vision, for quite some time.

Some things I really like about this system:

1. It runs on a Mac.

2. Said Mac can be purchased directly from Renewed Vision.

3. You can create video wall effects on one display.

4. The ability to color correct each clip individually

5. The flexibility of being able to play back any format that is supported by Quicktime.

6. After importing an audio-only clip, the thumbnail automatically displays an audio waveform to indicate an audio file.

7. The price. My system was $2,105 including a brand new Imac.. In contrast, the system I use in our Worship Center was $5,000, and is not nearly as flexible as ProVideoPlayer.

We use ProPresenter at our church (www.mycrossroads.org). We had EasyWorship before that. I ugraded our Media computers, so, the auditorium and youth rooms got my hand-me-down Dual 2GHz G5s. I LOVE PROPRESENTER! Our presentation operators were full trained within ten minutes or so.

We export our FinalCut stuff out, then convert (via Compressor) to the largest H.264. Playes beautifully.

Did I mention that I love ProPresenter?

    “Plays,” not “playes.”
